CAMRA Angle update :-
The 75th edition of the branch magazine ( or to put it another way, our 3/4 Century edition) has been published and is being distributed around the branch, and beyond. If you can’t find a copy, it is also available online to read or download , along with past issues .
.

As well as the usual pub, club and brewery news there is a photo round up of our Pub & Club of the Year contest.
There are articles about The Cyprus, South Shields and The Iona Club in Hebburn.
Feature articles include Boddingtons bitter and British Beers in Belgium. We look at the new beer scoring system , Public Affairs, Beer and Pubs on You Tube and of course the Pub Quiz.
There are a couple of news items that came to light after publication:-
Pleased to Meet You in Roker Sunderland no longer sells real ale, although it is to be hoped it may return when the new football season starts.
It has been reported by a CAMRA member that The Courtyard in Washington has stopped offering CAMRA discount. . However, at the same time, one of their available beers , Timothy Taylor’s Landlord received a score of Very Good. To see what this actually means , refer to the article on page 9 of the Angle :- New Ratings for Cask Beer Scoring
