Email content:

Dear Member.

If you recall we emailed you in September letting you know the branch “eVote” website was open to let you vote for our Sunderland & South Tyneside Pub & Club of the year 2016.

This is to let you know that site will only remain available until midnight on 27th December. We encourage making your online vote asap but no later than that date.

To vote you need your CAMRA membership number & the same password you use to logon to the CAMRA national website.

You can vote for upto 3 pubs on the list & if you wish 3 clubs. (You must vote for at least one pub)

The eVote site can be found at

If you do not want to click on this link you can cut & paste “” into your web browser else search for “evp” & “sst” in google.

How do I get my password reset?

Go to & click “Forgotten your password”, you will need your CAMRA membership number & the email address used on your CAMRA account.

Can I change my vote?

After you vote you will be asked to confirm or change your vote, however once you confirm no change will be possible.

How are the Pubs on the ballot selected?

The pubs listed are those pubs entered into the 2016 Good Beer Guide from the branch area. Their selection for GBG was based on your scores added to NBSS via the WhatPub website throughout the previous year.

How are the clubs on the ballot selected?

All the clubs within the branch area serving real ale are on the ballot.

Why should I vote?

If you want to have a say in which pub/club we make our Pub of the Year/Club of the Year you’ll need to vote. These votes can be very close so your vote could be well the deciding factor.

Why vote online?

The costs of running a completely postal vote for our branch is over £300! So huge savings can be made by the branch; every online vote reduces that cost.

Is my vote anonymous?

Yes. Your membership number is recorded when you vote online but it is stored separately from your vote & it is only used to ensure one person/one vote. Only one member of the branch is authorised to access the national system containing membership numbers, with names & addresses. That is our Branch Membership Secretary. He is not a teller in the PotY/CotY vote & he’s also aware of his obligations under the Data Protection Act.

What happens if I don’t vote online?

From 27th December we will hold a sweep up exercise & those members who have not voted will be sent a postal vote.

When will the results be published?

We expect to announce the 2016 Pub of the Year/Club of the Year at the end of January.
