CAMRA Angle update :-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 75th edition<\/strong> of the branch magazine ( or to put it another way, our 3\/4 Century<\/strong> edition) has been published and is being distributed around the branch, and beyond. If you can’t find a copy, it is also available online to read or download<\/a> <\/strong>, along with past issues .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as the usual pub, club and brewery news there is a photo round up of our Pub & Club of the Year contes<\/strong>t. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are articles about The Cyprus,<\/strong> South Shields and The Iona Club<\/strong> in Hebburn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feature articles include Boddingtons bitter<\/strong> and British Beers in Belgium<\/strong>. We look at the new beer scoring system <\/strong>, Public Affairs<\/strong>, Beer and Pubs on You Tube<\/strong> and of course the Pub Quiz.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a couple of news items that came to light after publication:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pleased to Meet You <\/strong>in Roker Sunderland no longer sells real ale, although it is to be hoped it may return when the new football season starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been reported by a CAMRA member that The Courtyard<\/strong> in Washington has stopped offering CAMRA discount. . However, at the same time, one of their available beers , Timothy Taylor’s Landlord received a score of Very Good<\/strong>. To see what this actually means , refer to the article on page 9 of the Angle :- New Ratings for Cask Beer Scoring<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
